Flight Attendants hold one of the most glamorous positions in the aviation industry, encompassing a diverse array of responsibilities on each flight. Foremost among their duties is the paramount task of ensuring the safety of passengers and strict adherence to security regulations. Additionally, they are entrusted with the responsibility of enhancing the safety and comfort of all individuals aboard the aircraft, and they provide necessary information to passengers as required. This profession transcends mere employment; it embodies a lifestyle that offers an office window view that never ceases to captivate.

Both men and women are eligible to pursue roles as Air Stewards, Hostesses, or Cabin Crew members. Responsibilities

* Safety and security of passengers and cabin
* Provide welfare and comfort to the passengers.
* Check cabin status and emergency equipment before each flight.

Fluency in English and Hindi

HR Interview

They will ask you few questions like. What is your current job? Why do you want to be a Cabin Crew? Why do you want to join this Airline?. No negative marking. Tell us about the Airline industry? Selected candidates are then invited for DAY 2 also known as Final Interview.

Group Discussion

Customer service scenario and role play - Random topics are given and you are assessed on the basis of communication skills, team player, etc.

Physical Test

Height and weight check. Eye test. Visible scars, burn marks and tattoos are not permitted.

Final Interview

Typical questions: Why do you want to be cabin crew? Subjects to be studied during training are? What would you change about yourself? What makes you better than other candidates? What will you do if you are not successful today? Why do you want to join us? What’s your biggest weakness/strength? What are the challenges of cabin crew today and how do you think we can solve them? How do you deal with a conflict situation / rude person? What is the biggest challenge you have faced?

Attire for interview (male)

Clean shaved, Formal Suit with tie and classic watch, Classic professional shoes

Attire for interview (female)

Wear makeup, a formal suit, a skirt or shirt, a dress, stockings, a handbag, or a classic watch. No bright color (black, gray, light blue, brown, etc.), Professional Heels Sober jewelry.Skirts should not be too tight.

Tips for Interview

* When attending interviews with certain airlines, it’s common for them to provide a presentation about the airline beforehand. Pay close attention during this session and don’t hesitate to ask relevant questions.
* Make sure to thoroughly review the requirements, including age, height, education, and other criteria.
* Prepare all your necessary documents in advance, including your passport, resume, and education certificates.
* Ensure your photographs meet the specified requirements and have recent pictures taken if needed.
* Conduct thorough research on the airline industry and the specific airline you’re applying to. Familiarize yourself with details such as the CEO’s name, the year of the airline’s founding, company values, motto, fleet, destinations, and recent updates.
* Read up on the responsibilities and lifestyle of cabin crew members to better understand the role you’re pursuing.
* While waiting for your name to be called, engage with other candidates to showcase your confidence and outgoing personality. Avoid isolating yourself or spending excessive time on your phone.
* Maintain a positive demeanor by smiling during interactions, as it contributes to a positive atmosphere.
* When responding to questions, try to craft your own answers rather than relying on standard responses.
* Maintain eye contact with recruiters to convey honesty and confidence.
* Remember that your body language is closely observed, so avoid behaviors like chewing gum, being excessively loud, or continuously using your phone.

  • Working can be hectic with a lot of early morning start and late-night finishes with multiple sectors, often all this can happen in a row.
  • A regular cabin crew flies for about 100 hours every month. This translates to 150 hours of duty including pre and post flight duties.
  • You can expect about 8 days off in a month.
  • Most of the airlines in India provide only 15 days paid leave per year.
  • Maintaining Physical fitness is very important as you are checked regularly for your medical vitals and failing will revoke your license.
  • You will have to work on holidays and weekends.
  • Work life balance can be compromised.

Junior crew
  • New entry after finishing training joins in economy cabin
  • Promoted to Business cabin after some experience
  • Responsible for cabin safety and services in an assigned section
Purser (lead, cabin director, IFS)
  • Direct, coordinate and organize entire cabin crew team
  • Responsible for conduct of cabin safety, services and emergency procedures for the entire aircraft.
